Martha Reichert is a Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Land Use and Zoning Group with extensive experience in handling complex commercial and residential land use, zoning, environmental, and real estate matters. She also handles civil litigation related to her practice area, including Article 78 challenges to administrative decisions and real property proceedings involving, for example, title, adverse possession, and easement issues.
Prior to joining the firm, she served as an Assistant Town Attorney for the Town of Southampton, where she was counsel to the Conservation Board and the Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonalty of the Town of Southampton. She represents property owners before municipal land use boards and regulatory agencies on zoning board appeals, wetland permits, architectural review, and site plan review applications.
Raised in Montauk, NY, Ms. Reichert graduated from the Taft School and holds a B.A. in Classical Archaeology from Hunter College. She attended Brooklyn Law School and was a judicial intern for the Hon. George Salerno in the Bronx County Supreme Court.
Ms. Reichert is an officer and trustee of the Montauk Historical Society. She was a founding member of the Montauk Community Garden and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation.
